A Series of Free Play Readings

March 6th at 2:30, 5 and 7 PM at the Cherry Pit (155 Bank St)

A few weeks ago our playwrights, actors, and directors rolled up our sleeves, put on our dust masks and scrubbed and painted the day away. We traded our sweat for a day in the Cherry Pit, so that you can hear thr...ee new works from our playwrights group, Swillable Ink. Did we mention the space is BYOB? And the readings are free.

Plays start at 2:30, 5, and 7. Not to mention a special, wine and cheese reception at 6:30. For more information, email us at aporiatheater@gmail.com. No reservations needed.

The Lineup:

2:30

New Play # 4 by Ryan Campbell

His boss was murdered in front of him, his wife is cheating, and his house is falling apart. His day couldn't get any worse...could it?

Directed by Nikki Rothenberg

5:00pm

Remove Foil and Reheat by Lydia Brunner

Opening with an underage pregnant chick in a Lazy Boy demanding a sundae, the play descends into a casserole-chucking, sister-fucking romp exploring the fault lines between family and romantic love.

Directed by Sarah Hartmann

7:00pm

Art of Attack

by Asa Merritt

A hopeful reunion of two estranged Russian brothers turns into a nightmare, as their obsession with chess leads them down a path were reconciliation is impossible, and madness inevitable.

Directed by Sarah Wansley
